Breathing becomes hard
The jack-hammer in my chest
Threatens my soul

How is a Poet Forgotten?

When one stops connecting with that piece of themselves that knows its purpose and speaks its truth.

I lost my way. In an attempt to either find the old path or forge a new one, I am giving that forgotten part of me it's voice back.

These new poems are not comfortable to write, as they are exploring damaged pieces of my being. My hope is that by exploring the damaged pieces I can find ways to start gluing things back together.

The old poems will serve as a reminder of a forgotten voice.

Marcy: I am a follower of Jesus, a wife, step mother, and musician. In 2016 I unexpectedly became a house wife when I needed to quit work due to health issues.
